We perform natural language analysis for early detection of gambling addiction.
Our technology mines data from social media, processes it using ML and detects potential gambling addiction disorders. Our dashboard showcases statistics based on those analyses.

How it works

1
We obtain data related to the game from multiple sources, including social media, multiple media and specialized forums. For this, LudoTrack incorporates advanced technology from Information Retrieval (filtering information, focused tracking, etc).
2
LudoTrack is based on advanced language models for information collection, thematic classification and organization of results
3
The web evidence extracted by LudoTrack can be presented and organized in multiple ways, to obtain temporal trends, sentiment estimation and emotion extraction.
4
LudoTrack is made available to the public. It can be exploited by domain experts to know the evolution of gambling addiction in certain segments of the population, analyze the exposure and coverage of gambling addiction themes on the web, or by researchers interested in collecting and analyzing their own data collections.
Technologies
We used some of the best technologies available both for natural language processing and for the full-stack application ensuring quality detection, speed and the best user experience.
- Front-end: React, TailwindCSS, Shadcn/ui, and Tremor.
- Back-end: Next.js, Python and Pandas.
- Natural Language Processing: We use Large Language Models, performing the corresponding adaptations to the domain of gambling addiction.
- Search Technologies: We use state-of-the-art tools for tracking, content indexing and information retrieval.
Acknowledgments
LudoTrack is a project developed in the context of the project “Early Detection of Gambling Addiction Risks through Web Mining with Advanced Search and Natural Language Processing Models”, funded by Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego del Ministerio de Derechos Sociales, Consumo y Agenda 2030.
This project has been developed during 2024 in the Center for Intelligent Technologies (CiTIUS) of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
